Sandy's prayer for 2010

"As I lay me down to sleep;
I pray dear Lord my food will keep;
And I do earnestly pray that when I wake
A family, waiting for me, will take

I have learnt to sit and sometimes paw
And still learning so much more
Walk on leash, Don't pull, Don't rush
Don't bark, well not much :)

The newspaper is my bane
I find it so funny, its like a game
But the cross looks from eveyone when I pee
Tells me, Oops, Uh oh, but huh, I still don't see ....?

Its not easy but I'll try
If that makes me more adoptable??.. sigh
I'm still young and have time
One day I'll be in my prime.

I know I don't look like the other pups
Who have floppy ears and soft goofy looks
Umm, I once had that
But then I grew

And now have BIG ears
That points to the sky
Just like my beautiful momma
Who told me to hold my head up high

Cos she says I'm as good as any other
Who comes with certs, or pedigree and whatever
Long fur with ribbons and bows all kinds of colour
I don't need them, only my collar

Is there a home, a family
Someone who cares
To take me in with love to share?
For now I'll wait and close my eyes in prayer"

Hopeful SANDY for Adoption

She is 3 months and such a clown now. She knows how to sit before her food / treats and has a very good appetite. She still learning how to toilet train but is a very curious pup and adores people, other dogs (and food), which we are happy as the vet says this is good rehabilitation on her part. No matter how soundly she is sleeping, snoring upside down turtle style, the minute she hears rustling of plastic bag or someone eating, you can be sure Sandy is silently by your side looking on - hopeful.

Yes Hopeful Sandy that is what we call her. Currently undergoing treatment right now for her skin due to environment and stress prior to her rescue, otherwise she is very healhy, playful and very cute, curious and has the saddest looking face with her big ears and huge eyes. Even when she is happy, she looks sad, only evidence of happiness is her waggy tail. She knows her name very well, knows how to sit and walks well on leash. We are still training her with toilet. She is not barky but whimpers or whine to sound her happiness or hunger.

Sandy was saved from being put down just hours before the deadline was up. Seeing her happy, alive and a carefree pup makes us very glad to have rescued her in the nick of time. Unfortunately, Sandy will not be suitable for HDB (or public housing) as she is considered a mid-size dog. She will grow into a small mid size.

Please call 91153067 or email anaterry@singnet.com.sg if you wish to give Sandy the gift of a family.

hi! i'm back from Taiwan around 2 days ago. :)
enjoyed myself. but since this blog isn't about me, i wouldn't say about it. :)

i really want to thank Ana and her family for looking after Prince and Sandy while we were away. :) THANKS A MILLION!

good that Prince was quite a good boy because Ana said so. it's more of my silly Sandy. :) but i still love her lots. because on 22 Dec when i went to pick Prince home, but not San because we were afraid that she will do anything wrong and make a big mess, Sandy was SO happy to see us, 'crying for joy', jumping around us, kissing us. haha. :) so sweet ya? Ana also said that she was so upset when we left without her.. poor girl.. :( she is coming back today! :)

haha. see this picture? isn't it cute?? :) Sandy has became a bee!! buzzing around! :)

picture for the day~
which is fat snowy. :D (at the mandai dinner day/night)
snowy now is so fat! so cute but naughty. ^^
not very naughty.. but he doesn't let people to carry him, unlike last time.
but i still like him. :D and Prince too!
Prince remembers him, when they met at the last AVA road show.

anyway, i read a book on puppies and in the chapter of house breaking, they said "Don't forget, most puppies are not reliably house trained until they are at least six months old. "
so if Sandy doesn't pee where she is suppose to, it's not her fault. :) but partially is too... hm... :)
Sandy is TOTALLY MAD about FOOD. all she think of is FOOD!!! *shakes head* anyone has any idea how to make her not SO MAD about food?? because Snowy's previous 'fosterer' (after my family) managed to make Snowy not SO crazy about food! that cool! but i can't seem to find... how.. hm.. got to do more research. luckily I'm on holiday, or i doubt i will find and read so much. :D
oh, saying of Sandy, it's her 3 months old 'birthday' today! 4 Dec 2009. :)
young girl ya? she is up for adoption, but more of after her skin problem is 'under control'. or if someone really likes her and don't mind her skin problem, then of course (s)he will be welcomed to adopt her. :)

from 1001 reasons to love DOGS
i wouldn't write all. because it isn't all that interesting. ^^
but will put interesting ones.
  1. the art of removing chewing un from dog fur

if you catch it right away, gum not yet entwined in the coat can be frozen with an ice cube and broken apart. if the gum is matted into the coat, rub the area with peanut butter and it will be easy to remove. (ever known that? i just know. :D)

" A dog wags its tail with its heart."

2. a dog's paws smell like fresh popcorn

dogs perspire through their feet and have scent glands on the bottom of their paws that resemble the aroma of popcorn!

to be continued with a breed apart next time. :)

stay tune. :D

Sandy being left out! ops.. sad..

i've uploaded some pictures on facebook.

http://www.facebook.com/editphoto.php?aid=37612#/album.php?aid=37609&id=1554481915 (AVA last / 3rd roadshow)

hm.. now that there will not be anymore AVA roadshow.. or A.L.L events... what should i do? other than look after my 'babies' of course. staying home all day long is boring~ don't you think so? hm... no choice.
