with grestest memory of Coffee. Honey.

everytime i think / read about coffee, tears will build up and i will start crying. i can't seem to forgive myself, that because of me coffee had to go. all because i didn't realise it eariler...

i'm so tired of crying and i feel weak. everytime i think / hear of him i feel so pain.. i don't show it but inside, it really hurts.. i took it quite well though. in school i didn't cry and no one said about it. but they did say my eyes looked weird.

but what can my tiredness and weakness be compaired to coffee's hurt and pain? all this is what i owe coffee. i thought of having another guinea pig, because i still have to food and everything. but i'm afraid i will not be able to pay A LOT of attention to him. just like what i did to coffee. i don't want to hurt another one. all because i wasn't a good owner. all because i didn't realise it and bring him to the vet.
it will be unfair.

this is a meaningful e-mail. "Dearest Coffee with love"

Thanks all for remembering Coffee (:

I wanted to come home to mass send an email to all of Coffee's Fans, but Thank you Ana for informing on my behalf.
Jeanette's taking it quite well... (I guess) Except like me, crying whenever we think of him.

I sure am gonna miss his sound when we take food and prepare to feed him.
Too bad we didn't reconize he was sick earlier.
But ya, Coffee's had a great life for a little guinea pig.
I wanted to attach Coffee's photos, just to remember him, but hotmail's not obeying.
maybe Jeanette will include them.

He's a permernant reident at A.L.L now anyway (:
Mohan took him back to burry him. Coffee was well loved.

Love,Jael

From Ana,
Dear friends,
One of the sweetest of God's creation has gone back to His loving arms.
Dear Coffee, Jeannette's sweet guinea pig passed on today at 4.08 pm. Most of us know Coffee who was a regular at Animal Lovers League event.
I will always remember his among our merchandise on display and every customer will be in awe of how well behaved he was.

So sorry dear Jeannette and Jael. We know how much you loved him. Be glad you had the honour to have cared for him, rescued from SPCA. We are just blessed to have known him.

So sorry we do not have Jeanette's email address so please Jael, convey our condolences to Jeanette.

Best regard
Ana, Terence, Joanna and Jonathan.

From Celina,

Oh dear,

That's sad....we're going to miss him...I always make fun of him whenever he poo-poo but now I can't laugh at him anymore.

I know I should have made an effort to carry him (you guys know that I'm pretty scared of his claws especially) but now he is gone, I will never have a chance to embrace him in my arms no more..... :(

Yes, we all know that Jeannette is very attach to Coffee. We are indeed very sorry to hear this news and hope that she will soon get over it and understand that all living things have to go someday.
Jael - pls help Audrey, Snowy, Rusky & I send our condolences to Jeanette.

From Angela,
My condolences. :( I remember Coffee from the ALL BBQ - what a funny, sweet, completely docile guinea pig he was. And his behaviour was really so much in contrast to his life, which was full of so much adventure and so "happening" for a little wee guinea pig. :P

ya, thank you all for remembering Coffee and loving him. Mohan was there when i was in the vet. mohan was able to say goodbye to coffee and he too really loved coffee a lot he sort of cried.. i'm so glad coffee was/is loved. so well loved by many.

on behalf of Coffee, i thank you all. and i believe God will take good care of him.

I LOVE YOU
--------------------------------------------------------------------

we got honey yesterday.
So sorry again to trouble you with Honey. She is mama dog and we know the fosterer will prefer to rehome pups and what will happen to Honey. We therefore decided a long time ago that should they pull out the pups, we have to take care of Honey and make sure she gets sterilised and medical attention. If no one wants her, we still do because poor mommy dog does not deserve this fate while her pups get to go to good homes, how can mommy dog be left in the forest. As you both know too, we are such suckers for the mamas and the papas because they are no longer 'cute' and past their prime. Every rehomer prefers to work on the pups but us, ha ha, we seem to be stuck with the senior citizens.

And so Honey now lies with you. Your family's generosity and kindness has helped our dogs recover, rehabilitate and finally find good homes. I thank you all again, your brother, your mom, both of you for your unconditional love.
The hardest to rehome from the litter always gives much satisfaction, right? And if God is on our side, who can be against it.

Honey, our plan for her is to send her to be sterilised probably in a week or two weeks time, either she goes first or Teddy, both of them need to have the same procedure. T says that Honey is like a Spitz size which makes her HDB adoptable. When we put her up for adoption, we will state that. Also when interested adopters view her and ask how to name her breed we can advise them that she can pass off as a Pom cross, her colouring is similar and her size is possible. We tell them the truth we do not know but for application of licence, this is the only way to go.

regards
Ana
Don't worry, I'd bath Honey, probably on Sunday too (sign, so much things, so little time).
Then I'd take pictures of her. Even If I don't Jeanette will. HEH.
I think better hold back the sterilization, she's still so frightened, she might get freaked out if she goes to the vet soon. Let her clam down first.
Honey just found out other then the door, there's this escape route called the window (-.-) So she's always standing on her hind legs and figuring out how to reach the window. Lucky she's short :x
She's panting a lot now still shivering. The 2 crazy dogs at my house obviously don't help. They freaked her out by deciding to play catching early in the morning. Oh well... (shrugs)
Can I outdoor train her? :x I haven't successfully toilet-trained a dog, with exception of Coco.
("she is probably 10 months - 1 year") no wonder I thought Honey looked young. Her teeth are still so small. even smaller than Prince's. I thought I got eye problem or what. haha I'd brush her teeth, then condition her fur and maybe put ribbons on her! HAHA ! (Ana just gave me a new doll!) *SMILES
No harm intended.
Jael

( "she would most probably try to run away") i brought her down just now with my friends and she didn't try to run. she didn't really want to walk. had to keep calling, pulling and carrying her. so you guessed wrong. ^^
she is getting used to the place already. i saw her wagging her tail twice. once in the morning and just now when i came back. SO beautiful!! :) i call the guys sicko boys sometime. haha. :x she seems to be sleeping well, and getting along well with the two guys.
i think her character is lovely enough and not in our care. haha. only afraid that the boys will teach her bad things. but so far so good, like i said. :)
regards
Jeanette

COFFEE i love you!

Coffee has gone home for good.
God has held his hand and brought him home.

i remember the day i saw him. the day i brought him back. the days i brought him out. the happy times we had. his voice. his fur. his paws. his everything.

how could i forget? i don't think i ever will. unless something happens. he is SO cool. so sweet. so handsome. so wonderful. so 'guai'. so cute. so nice.
i too don't want to forget him. i love him. i loved him. i still love him. and i ALWAYS will love him. i will remember the wonderful times we had. the nice things he did.
i got him because of my previous two guinea pigs which was meant for sis. 'mao mao and wang wang. ' that's their names.

the white one is maomao, a girl. the black with white head, is wangwang. maomao is a very brave girl. running all around, not wanting you to carry her. and when she is out, OFF she goes. byebye~ she is cute. but she can be annoying too, because she doesn't let us carry her. haha.

wangwang on the other hand is very quite and tame. just like coffee is. he follows maomao. they are so lovely. i use to bring them to the park to eat grass and enjoy and people would can and pat them. it's always nice, to make friends and letting them run and have fun and eat. i wouldn't forget that too. but because we were lazy and didn't clean their cages and my dad wasn't happy about it, he sold them away... :"( i cried, i was so angry, i was angry that dad sold them without letting me know. i was so sad i couldn't say my last good bye or something.

so i got my darling coffee. i use to go to SPCA very often. so one fine day, i saw Coffee and hurriedly called mum and we got him. Uncle Jerry, one of the staff there ( now no longer ), helped with the adoption. he gave us a free cage too. my mum's friend went to help us bring the Big cage home. i was so happy. all the joy building up, HIGH up. a huge smile on my face.

i set his cage up, lay the news paper and all sorts. fed him, played with him, talk to him, carried him. he is not those that is very tamed, he seems to prefer being on himself. but i didn't let him. ^^ i brought him out, to petmovers, parks, school, visits and MANY more. one of the 'outing', we went to petmovers and someone was asking owners some question and she saw Coffee and came to ask what is he and i told her he is a guinea pig. she looked so ... surprised? and she was also giving some things to the owners. but because coffee is a guinea pig she couldn't give me anything. that was such a nice memory.

every time we open our fridge, coffee would squeak for food, vegetables. i miss the sound... i miss having him around. sis do too although she doesn't really play with coffee. coffee means so much to me. all this was before i got Prince, helped with the fostering and all sorts.

soon, we got Prince. and i didn't send as much time as i did... i send 80% of my time with Prince than to coffee. then even more dogs came into my life, looking after them is so nice. sometimes i even forgets coffee. and sometimes when coffee squeak, i ignore. but i still did play with him.

but when even more came, the lesser i played. and these few days... i didn't really take him out to play. but i did realise he was getting thinner and his water didn't seem to have lessen.. and his food seems to slow down. ( lesser was gone ). he didn't squeak too.. but i didn't really notice. if only i had took him out, check on him everyday, knew he isn't well, took him to the vet earlier, he wouldn't have gone..

THANKS darling coffee:

thanks for being such a nice guinea pig

thanks for being my little ' dog ' when i didn't have any

thanks for the joys you brought

thanks for the EVERYTHING

SORRY dear:

sorry that i didn't play with you so often

sorry that i didn't check on you EVERYDAY

sorry that i didn't bring you to the vet earlier

sorry that i didn't take good care of you

sorry that i didn't care about you sometimes

sorry that i didn't notice how sick you were

sorry that i ignored you sometimes

sorry for EVERYTHING i did that made you sad or was bad.

SORRY to those that LOVED coffee so much, but because of me, coffee went home.. I'm sorry.

coffee's last day:

i brought him to school because it's easier to go to the vet from there ( but mum asked me to not go to school and bring coffee to the vet. if only i did.. ) in school, he wasn't moving much, didn't even stand right.

took from my friend's blog, HT.

"today, a life was lost at around 1609. it is Jeanette's dear pet guinea pig, coffee. coffee is a v. cute guinea pig which has black smooth hair, and a little mix of other small strands of other color hair. jean's mom discovered that coffee was not being his normal on last Sunday. and till today, it has dragged for 4 days. when we just reached the vet, the doctor took his temperature and found out that it was 40.6DC, instead of the normal temperature-38DC. coffee had high fever. he also had diarrhoea. he had v. little appetite, and was twitching once in a few seconds. coffee also looked like he is having a hard time breathing as he is breathing v. hard. the doctor said that the fever has been delayed and have damaged coffee's brains, and coffee was in a half conscious state(coma). because coffee had v. little appetite, the doctor had to make coffee have some energy. so, a dripper containing sugar solution is dripped into coffee's body. the doctor also gave him some medicine that would bring down his temperature and improve his diarrhoea. he also had many sips of water. we thought that he would be just fine and start playing around in the next few days.

when we finished paying for the medicine, Jeanette noticed that coffee was not moving, or twitching at all. this frightened us a lot. we went into the room again. and the doctor examined coffee again. he announced that coffee could not make it.. at that point of time, jean was already crying. followed by me. i can see that she is v. sad, even though she is smiling forcefully every time i look at her. it is her precious little coffee, which she treats like her own. even when i am not the owner of coffee, and i saw the poor coffee being held on the table and could not stop twitching, with such teary eyes, i would also feel sad. instantly, i could feel the strong bond of jean and coffee. (shut up, I'm crying while typing this already) i was really angry why God took away the innocent coffee's life, even when i prayed more than 3 times to him before coffee passed on. when that was announced, i prayed to God and asked him why. but all i can pray to God is that i hope he could take coffee with him and take care of him.

then, we went to pasir ris on car to bury coffee at A.L.L. when we got down of the car, jean hugged coffee and kissed him, snuggled him, and even called him in a v. precious way. and she even said sorry. i really wanna tell jean that you don't have to feel sorry, because everyone has to leave, and just that coffee's one is earlier.. then, jean took pictures of her coffee. i could sense that she misses him, and can you ever imagine like your children has died? that's how she feels i bet. coffee is her precious. soon, the hole was dug. the way i saw jean carefully put coffee into the hole was super touching. jean placed coffee carefully, and even positioned him into a v. comfortable position. aft which, coffee was buried. me and jean then went home.

a normal life span of a guinea pig is 4 years. and coffee, lived for 2 years plus. this is half of his life. and i believe that God will take care of coffee in heaven, and i hope that coffee can rest in peace. the cute, cheerful coffee, has now become a memory in our lives. i can only hope that jean feels better and don't feel remorseful as its not your fault.. and i hope she will get over the death of coffee and continue to save more pets' life, like she tried to save coffee's. this event made me like animals and wanna help them. i hope that everyone reading this will be able to save animals and help them and of cos, love them to the fullest."

HT: i really want to thank you. thank you for being there, thank you for the tears. thank you for posting such a meaningful post. thank you so much.

words from a conversation between D and Myself:

"i was so scared. because after the 'doc' checked him and put him into the carrier, and we did the payment and everything, before i went home i checked him and he wasn't moving. no breathing so i asked my friend to check for me if i saw wrongly and she confirmed that there wasn't breathing.
so i asked the helper to check for me but she was busy so she asked me to ask the 'doc'. when he was checking i grabbed her hand tight and tears just rowed down
then i really started crying

that's the saddest part of loving an animal. when it's time to let go.
be strong.
there are a lot of "what if" if you want to start thinking. what's more important... is you learn.

ya... learn to care for them. not to forget about them
to always check on them and if something is wrong, ask or bring them to the vet

it makes you treasure prince isn't it?
sometimes we need a wake up call. and unfortunately, the wake up call is often a sad affair. that's probably human nature.
every thing happen for a reason. but whatever the reason is, it must make us a better person.

ya. at least i see prince everyday no matter what. and if something is wrong it's easier to see/notice. what's the reason for coffee dieing? for me to learn to treasure my other pets more?

maybe"

COFFEE I LOVE YOU. ALWAYS. LAST TIME. NOW. NEXT TIME.

THANKS FOR EVERYTHING. MAY GOD TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOU. MAY YOU ENJOY YOUR LIFE WITH HIM.

I'LL NEVER FORGET YOU.

having so many dogs can fun and can be irritating. :)
irritating when they created a mess and you have to clean up, or when they misbehave. you agree? =] sometimes i just gets angry when i have to clean up their mess and fault is blame at me. =.=
but i LOVE having them around. they bring joy to my life and makes me smile. when they come to me for attention, and fight to have my pats, it's so funny. having them running around, barking and 'fight'. ^^
it's such a nice sight to see.

i LOVE them a MILLION.
they rock my world. ^^
i'm so glad God made Animals and that i can look after them.
everyone of them teaches me different things. different storys and different characters.
i have always wanted a dog last time. it all started from hamsters that my mum's friends gave. but hamsters just don't give the type of joy dogs give.
my sis then wanted guinea pigs, so my dad bought 2 for her. a girl and a boy, they are very cute! i love them a lot. but they wasn't staying with me and my sis was so lazy to clear their paper/mess and my dad sold them away. my heart broke when i knew that he has sold them, i cried and blamed my sis.

coffee!

soon, i got Coffee, my darling. ^^ ( a guinea pig)
i brought him to a lot of places!
dog runs, parks, and many more.
he was my VERY favourite till my sis suggested having a dog!
i used to go to SPCA very often too. so i saw the posters on Prince. which was named Sparky but we changed it. and we GOT him!!!
i've said his story on the very first post. ^^

well, i JUST have to agree that nothing can win other than dogs. ^^
THEY ROCK!! haha.

HDB says No
We stay on the streets
Town Council says No
The feeders mess up public areas
We move to the carparks
Car owners say No
The scratches must be that "stupid cat sleeping on the roof"
We move to the hawker centres
NEA says No
Or else no 'Singapore OK' label
We hang around the walkway
The young lady says we scare her mother
We move near the childcare
The parents complaint to the Town Council's officer"Get rid of the cat or we beat your brain out!"
We poo on the grass
The Town Council's Senior Property Manager screams"Cats cannot poo! Not even on the grass!"
Where can we go?

heartless peeps and Ahboy

i can't believe how some human beings are, how heartless and cruel. hitting animals, putting plastic bags on their heads (i saw one before, in my classroom but it is believed that someone else from outside did it. but i really shocked me. *on a cat) and now something very bad. it's totally horrible. just simply hate them..

that day, when i was at C's house i learnt that AVA has got no heart. do you know how they kill the dogs that they find? i don't know if should say this but.. i just really feel like saying it because i really don't like them. they uses electricity to kill them, and before that, they wet them so it's easier to kill them. when i heard it was totally shocked? just hate them a lot. can't they use something better? let them go in peace?! why must they have such a memory just right before they leave?! humans just have to have some heart sometimes. and animals should have their rights!

now that i have said i feel better because they really Suck.. oh and, i just got another foster dog the day before yesterday. he isn't up for adoption. his owner has some problems so she asked if someone could help to look after him till she settles and sis agree to help. he just got sterilised the day we got him. so he has his e-collar on and has to rest well. the first day we got him he seemed in pain and sad but now he is Much better. anyway, his name is Ah boy. =]

i don't have his pic because my camera isn't done, not my cam, my charger. :x ha ha.
see you next time. Bye bye~

sandy, rocky and bubbles

mummy teddy<3

yay! this is Bubbles. ^^ (not confirm if there's a potential adopter)

Sandy ( C might be adopting !)

Rocky (have potential owner:))
we went to visit teddy today. at C's house. her pups are Cute! :)

[/edited]
sorry. :) will continue now.

Terrence picked us up at 10.45am to go to C's house. Bad weather as it was raining but that didn't very much affect us. Cara was at the gate to greet us! :) sis and I love Cara, as much as we love Coco. they are both wonderful dogs. :) Holicks didn't come to the gate to greet us, he is more of a lazy dog i would say.. :X

the pups were sort of sleeping when we reached but we took the all out to play. their fur is so nice, soft and comfortable. ^^ can be a pillow! i think it's my first time playing with such little pups! so cool! ha ha. there was someone else and another family there to see the pups too. the guy is going to adopt Rocky (most probably) and he will most probably take Rocky home soon.

puppies finds homes faster, but no one knows what will happen when they grow into big girls and boys. when they becomes bigger and stronger. hopefully this 3 darlings will stay happy and well with their owners always and forever. :)

from http://www.homelessinseletar.blogspot.com/
A Crying Shame - Two beautiful siblings brothers
'... We have recently spotted two dogs. They are quite small, very furry, black with some brown on the legs. They are quite dirty with matted fur but you can tell they once cleaned up, they look really fine. Both are male, I've fed them recently and surprised that they actually wagged their tails when they saw me for the first time and came up close to me. They are skinny and ate a lot.

One seems to be injured as his fur was matted and wet in one part - pus or blood i couldn't tell as it was dark.

A few days later we saw them again....... They didn't want us to stop petting them and kept wagging their tails. The injured one still looks injured, fur still wet at the same spot. We couldn't see the extent of injury. Thankfully, one worker was sleeping nearby and he explained that he was there to look after some machinery. He is not there everyday as the workers take turns to be stationed there. The dogs seemed to like him very much. He explained that the dogs used to belong to a house that has since been torn down and about three times everyday, the dogs walk back to where the house used to stand. Maybe they are checking to see if their owners had come back for them. Sigh. How heartbreaking is that.

It amazes me how people can find it in them to leave behind a pair of loving dogs. They look very young, teenage dogs and they are siblings cos they look so similar. They are very good-looking dogs and don't have the typical singapore mongrel look. But looks are not important. I am just so saddened that the owners could just leave behind the warm and affectionate dogs knowing full-well that this place will be redeveloped and that the dogs won't stand much of a chance.

Please let me know if you know of anyone who would be willing to foster or adopt them. They are good with humans and are obviously affectionate and crave company and love. I am willing to pay for their neutering and contribute to their upkeep. I just hope we can help to give them a chance and show them that not all people are cold and heartless. Please let me know, thanks..

Just fed them today again, they didn't seem to be too interested in eating. Instead, they wanted to be loved and pet. They look very forlorn and we can only surmise that it is because they are so starved of love and affection, having once been pets. They so badly crave human affection that they actually ignored the food and kept coming up and asking to be pet instead.
What little love we can give them, they are so grateful for, wagging their tails when pet. Let's pray that someone will come forth to adopt these two brothers. '
If there are any kind souls out there who are able to help these two lovely dogs, please email to ingenue1811@yahoo.com or call 96932724. Time is of the essence as soon none of the workers or feeders will be around this area soon. Two lovely siblings looking for homes. They do not need to be fostered or adopted together but both do need homes...

naughty prince

Prince

the naughty Prince of mine ate 2 moon cakes, 2 egg tarts and hid a "fa gao" last night. -.-

we were all out, for dinner, work and fun. we had those things on the coffee table and forgot to put it on the dinning table so the fat dog decided to treat himself with them. sis and mum came back first as dad brought bro and I out for dinner/supper, Prince had poo-ed and pee-d in the house and 2 moon cakes, 2 egg tarts and a "fa gao" were missing so they asked us and we said we didn't eat.

Prince has a big Fat stomach now. ate small things on the road but not his dinner ( mum just gave him a little but he is not eating it. ). at night after an hour or so after all of us were home, Prince vomited and there were last night's dinner. Poor but naughty boy. :)

bro found the "fa gao" on one of the sofa. with a little of it bitten off and two holes which is most probably his teeth marks. :) we are guess he is either keeping it for "raining days" or "too full, so shall keep for next time/later." ha ha. but it's good that he didn't eat it.

he seems OK so far.. only Fat and a bit lazy. laying all over not very much wanting to stand. ^^ hope he learns is lesson. to Not eat so much/not steal things from the table. he never does take food from the table when we are around, i think almost every dog doesn't do that. ^^ only when we are not around will they do naughty things and hope we will not find out. :)

my camera charger has some problems.. so i can't take pics to post.. :(
